Sharyn Milnes

Sharyn trained as a registered nurse at the Royal Melbourne Hospital when IV fluids and medications were still in glass. She has completed postgraduate nursing studies in critical care at Deakin University and adult education at Sydney University.

She has spent most of her nursing career in the area of critical care with time off to have a family and raise her children to school age. While home with the children she completed her Masters of Bioethics at Monash University.

As a result of her years in ICU and a keen interest in ethics in health, she is now involved in researching interactions between the two areas at the Centre for Ethics in Medicine and Society at Monash University…in between ferrying kids to various after school activities.
